Welcome to......

Bove Town, Glastonbury
Coombe House Garden is an oasis of calm that beautifully highlights the charming views to the hills opposite and reflects the diverse and eclectic nature of Somerset.
It encompasses areas that are beginning to show architectural maturity — walled formal, herbaceous and romantic shrub gardens, elegant grass garden, some tender and unusual plants, vegetable garden, orchards, nut walk, water, other features and pergolas.

In all, the grounds comprise about two acres with delightful views and ambience.

I am putting this post up because of the Acer Palmatum. We planted this some four years ago and it now pays us back each spring.

Sun today but rain expected. Our April showers have come late, after a long period of no rain at all we have had leaden skies and drizzle.

The weather has improved and it’s busy busy in the garden. Potting up in the hot house and plants arriving by almost every post or day.

This is turning out to be a typical April Showers, early morning mists, warm sun then later in the day clouds and maybe more showers type of day.

Opening for visitors
We plan to open the garden for a charity on July 19th from 2pm-6pm. We will update this area with more detailed information as soon as possible.
